Anna's Sea House near to a sandy beach!

We welcome you to our bright, comfortable house in its own garden, very near to the wide sandy expanse and the crystal clear waters of Chrissi Akti beach.
The house is located in the area of Agioi Apostoloi, 3km west of Chania. This is an unspoilt area providing rest and relaxation in its forest on its beaches.
This one-storey house consists of 2 double bedrooms (one with 2 single beds) sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and a large verandah, extensive garden and parking place. It is possible to accommodate another 2 people on a bed settee which becomes a double bed. An important feature of the house is its many, large windows which flood the rooms with light.
Inside the house is charming. In the cozy sitting room there is an attractive fireplace with large windows and a bookshelf on each side.
All the area is elegantly decorated with small paintings and a hand-made chandelier with candles hangs from the ceiling.
Most of the furniture is traditional and the house contains many attractive ethnic style objects which contribute to its special appeal.
In one corner has been created a pleasant dining area.
The main bedroom contains a large wardrobe with full-length mirror and a king-size rattan bed. From the large window can be seen the fruit trees (orange, lemon, mandarin) in the surrounding garden. The second bedroom contains two traditional single beds, a wardrobe, desk, shelves and an armchair. The window opens onto a view of banana trees.
The fully-equipped kitchen includes a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cooker, and washing machine. Also provided are a microwave oven, coffee-making machine, kettle, juicer and all the necessary cooking equipment cutlery, pottery and glasses. The kitchen is fully-fitted with cupboards and a table at which meals can be taken.
The bathroom has been decorated in a modern style and color scheme of rich chestnut brown and turquoise, and contains a shower, small bath and wash basin with useful cupboards and shelves.
One wall of the sitting room opens onto a large verandah overlooking the rich vegetation of the garden with its many flowering plants and selection of different fruit trees. The garden has man attractive corners where the residents can relax under the shade of the trees. There is even a hammock, which is ideal for this. The comfortable sun beds also provide a welcoming area for sunbathing and 3 swings provide fun for children.
Superb barbecue-facilities have been installed in a convenient area with its own herb garden. Under the vine, a large wooden table can seat 10-12 people, so that food can be prepared and immediately enjoyed.
Although the house is located in an area with many facilities it retains its quiet atmosphere since it does not immediately adjoin the road but an area of greenery exists beyond the perimeter wall.

Sandy beach, that slopes lently. Perfecty safe for children!

Chrissi Akti area (2,5 km – 1,24 mi west of Chania: about 7 minutes' drive from Chania town centre without traffic)
From the I. Daskalogiannis Airport of Chania:
If you arrive at the airport or seaport of Chania taxis are readily available. A taxi from the airport of Chania to Chrissi Akti Beach will cost around 30-35 Euro and takes about 30 minutes. The local bus connecting to the city (terminal at "Square 1866") runs every 15 minutes till late at night.

1. Travel from the airport to Chania Town Center then follow the signs for Kisamos on the old national road beginning at the north-west side of Chania. After 2.5 km turn right at the traffic lights where there is an Eco gas station on the corner.
Or

2. From the Airport drive to Souda, and there join the motorway E75 towards Kisamos, then
at the second intersection, just after Chania, take the exit to the right and cross the main road, turn immediately afterwards right a little uphill and continue straight until the traffic lights. Once the lights turn orange (there is an Eco gas station on the corner) and go across
Then, follow the road to the beach; the house is on the right-hand. (Daskalogianni Street ).

3. From the N.Kazantzakis Airport of Heraklion:

Travel from the airport to the E75 motorway, then follow the signs for Rethymnon and Chania. Just after Chania, take the exit to the right and cross the main road, turn immediately afterwards right a little uphill and continue straight until the traffic lights. Once the lights turn orange, go across and follow the road to the beach; the house is on the right-hand. (Daskalogianni Street).

Scheduled flights to Athens arrive daily from just about everywhere. You can then either fly on to Crete or take the overnight ferry. Ryanair is generally cheaper than Aegean Air and Olympic for the domestic hop Athens-Chania, and you can book online.
Chania airport is about 30 minutes drive from Chrissi Akti
Ferries: If you fly to Athens airport there is a bus to Piraeus (the port of Athens) which takes about an hour, or you can take a taxi. Make sure your flight arrives in time to get to the port.
The ANEK line ferries usually leave Piraeus at 21.00 and arrive at Souda (The port for Chania) at 05.30 am the next day.
The return ferry leaves Souda at 21.00 and arrives at Piraeus at 05.30.
They are very comfortable and you can book a cabin.
Souda is about 10 minutes' drive from Chrissi Akti.
Walking from the house to Chania town:
Continue along the beach of Chrissi Akti, through Aptera beach, continue along the beach of Nea Chora and arrive at the Firkas Fort in the Old Town
It is a very nice bike ride.
Finding us by bus
Buses start at “Nea Katastimata” square, and it is about 10 minutes' ride to the house.
The bus stop in Chrissi Akti is 50m from the house (Chrissi Akti station)
